The title
tune to Lacys new CD is one of the most gorgeous pieces
of acoustic music Ive ever heard. Gut-string guitar notes
shower around her like silver raindrops. Her voice remains
a thing of perfect eloquence, wonder and personality. The
whole album feels like a letter from an old friend. Shes
now based in Reno, which in my opinion is a great loss to
Nashville.

Lacy J. Dalton's "The
Last Wild Place" proves what fans have known all along:
No secular artist blends the spiritual and the physical as
movingly, or as profoundly, as Dalton. In singing about a
race horse with the heart of a champion ("She Could
Run"), Dalton underscores the best of her 25-year career. Obviously,
this pure-hearted singer--who has long straddled the country/folk
line--has legs, too.

I
bought this after sampling it on CDBaby cos I thought it
sound real good. What a misjudgement. It is nothing short
of BRILLIANT. The years have developed Lacy's voice into
one of the very best female singers anywhere anytime. I
do not want to wait so long for her next album. Oh, by
the way, fantastic songs to boot.

The
Last Wild Place is one of the best CD's I've heard in years.
The music is not only great to listen to - but the songs
themselves strike a very special chord, ranging from the
title track to others such as Listen to the Wind, the Wanderers
and Boundless Skies. Without question, this CD is a great
addition to any collection!

I
am a new convert to Lacy Dalton. I bought this album after
sifting through many on-line music stores and listening
to a myriad of short soundclips from various artists looking
for that great new CD find for my father who owns absolutely
everything. I had heard of Lacy before but never bought
anything of hers. This is an excellent album regardless
of your musical tastes. I bought one not only for my dad
but for me, my sister, my uncle... Well worth it!

I
purchased this CD before it even came out. Lacy J. Dalton
has been my favorite female country singer for many years.
I believe this may be her best album ever! Listen to the
Wind, Heart of Hearts, Standin' Knee Deep, Slip Away and
Sanctuary are my favorites, but all 12 cuts are really
good. This lady can really sing and her band can really
play! You won't be sorry if you purchase this CD! There
is nothing else out there like it. Lacy is really one of
a kind, with the most distinctive voice in the industry.

If
there was ever a cd to sell it's self then The Last wild
Place is it.

This
largely acoustic album is pure musical joy from start to
finish. Lacy J. Dalton has made what is possibly the best
album of her entire career. With a voice like hers nobody
would ever mistake Dalton for being somebody else in country
music, that's for sure! The songs, most of which she cowrote,
are a mixture of country and spiritual offerings. The tracks
are filled with heartfelt lyrics, but it is the subdued
acoustic setting that makes her voice stand out very strong
in the end. A very satisfying experience all along.
